Hi! My name is Meijken. A creative know-it-all, always busy learning and fixing things. For most of my life i’ve lived in the historic city centre of Amsterdam. This might have sparked my fascination for the old and interesting. For years i’ve worked in Musea, historic buildings and then the tourist information of Amsterdam (I still love finding and sharing the stories behind the items i sell!).

In 2019 I got the opportunity to take over a thrift store on the Overtoom in Amsterdam. Slowly turning it from an over-stuffed, stacked to the ceiling, hole in the wall kind of place to my very own inspiring vintage furniture shop. Unfortunately after only 3 months i was hit with the Covid-19 lockdowns.. This drove me to start selling more items on my Instagram page, but it also gave me time to start restoring furniture.

This is where I found Mark. We had an instant click in our love for furniture hunting and restoration, helping each other grow in our expertise. After four years on the Overtoom my lease was up. And perhaps it was fate, but the very next day I got an offer for our current location in Amsterdam North. A bit overwhelmed by the size of the place (400m2!), I asked Mark to join me on this new venture. It has been a joy so far, working with friends, doing what I love and sharing my enthusiasm with our customers!
